At Vailankanni, we believe that an effective education doesn’t just come from memorizing or lecturing. Active participation in the learning process entails analyzing, discussing and collaborating - in order to comprehend and retain. All of our courses are designed to encourage deep mental processing and student engagement with the class material.

KINDERGARTEN

Junior kindergarten and Senior kindergarten

Written : English, Maths, Tamil
Oral : English, E.V.S, Storytelling and Tamil
ACTIVITIES: Drawing, colouring, Motor-skills, Identification, Nursery rhymes etc
At the end of kindergarten programme, the child would be able to read and write phonetics and other important words, Numbers, Names, Additions and subtractions.

JUNIOR PROGRAMME

I and II STD

Written : English, Maths, EVS, Tamil
ACTIVITIES: Project work, Art and Craft, Drawing and Colouring, Outdoor play
On completion of junior programme the child gets a thorough knowledge on basic English reading, writing and speaking, addition, multiplication, division, geometry, coins and currency, environment, human body, safety and first aid.

PRIMARY PROGRAMME

III to V STD

Written: English, Maths, Science, Social, Tamil, Computer
ACTIVITIES: Project work, Art and Craft, Drawing and Colouring, Karate, Yoga, Music & Dance
On completion of primary programme the child gets a thorough knowledge on basic English and language, reading, spellings, fractions, geometry, living things, globe & maps, health and hygiene.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAMME

VI to VIII STD

Written: English, Language, Maths, Science (Physical and Biological), Social (History, Civics and Geography), Computer science
At this level the students is introduced to in depth study of Science and Social. Demonstration are done using visual and practical and interactive tools that aids in learning concepts.

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMME

IX and X STD

Theory : English, Language, Maths, History & Civics, Geography, Economics
Practical: Science I (Physics & Chemistry), Science II (Botany & Zoology)
Emphasis is laid on the practicals, the students are regularly taken to our large and well equipped labs. Meticulous and systematic tests and exams are kept to ensure 100% results in the State Board exams.

HIGHER SECONDARY PROGRAMME

XI and XII STD

Group 1: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer (MPCC)
Group 2: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (MPCB)
Group 3: Accountancy, Commerce, Economics, Business Maths (MECA)
Group 4: Accountancy, Commerce, Economics, Computer science (CECA)
Languages offered Part 1: Tamil, Hindi, French
Part 2: English
At this stage the students can choose a stream in accordance to their future studies. Meticulous and systematic tests and exams are kept to ensure 100% result in the State Board exams.
